Software Engineer

Mahmoud Ashraf (El Dweek)From the interface to the API.

I build production web apps with Vue, Nuxt, Next.js, and NestJS, focused on scalable architecture, SSR, and performance.

About

I build production web applications for products and clients, and I like owning them end to end. At Gradion, I work on frontend architecture and performance across product teams. As a freelancer, I build full-stack platforms, from the customer-facing app to the APIs and admin workflows behind it.

  • Architecture that scales.

Reusable components and shared UI patterns that hold up across multiple product surfaces.

  • Performance as a feature.

SSR, smart rendering strategies, and Core Web Vitals treated as part of the product, not an afterthought.

  • End-to-end ownership.

From UI and API integration to backend workflows and production delivery.

Experience

Full-time product work at Gradion, and independent client builds on the side.

How I Work with AI

Every task follows the same path, from ticket to production. AI does a lot of the work along the way. I make every call.

  1. 01

    It starts with context.

Before anything gets built, the AI reads what I read: the ticket, the docs, and the code it touches. No copy-pasted snippets, no guessing.

  2. 02

    Then a plan, not code.

We break the work into steps, compare approaches, and surface edge cases early. Nothing gets written until I approve the plan.

  3. 03

    The work gets shared out.

Repetitive and multi-step parts go to AI agents, each with a small, clear job and only the access it needs. I stay on the decisions that shape the product.

  4. 04

    End-to-end tests prove it.

Every result runs through end-to-end tests that drive the real app in a browser, so I know the whole flow works, not just the parts.

  5. 05

    I review every line.

Builds and tests pass, then I read the diff myself. I own what ships.

  6. Shipped

AI makes me faster. The judgment stays mine.
